PINAR ASLAN (Uskudar University)
Pinar Aslan is an assistant professor in Uskudar University, Turkey. She holds two majors in Public Relations and Comparative Literature, and two master’s degrees in Public Relations and Cultural Studies. She also has two PhDs from Universidad de Salamanca (Spain) and Istanbul University (Turkey) consecutively. Her PhD in Spain was about female identity,
iconicity, and media whereas her PhD in Turkey was about Turkish television series and their worldwide success within the context of soft power. Pinar is very much interested in intercultural communication, digital culture, international public relations, and social media behaviour. She also has publications on crisis communications, public diplomacy, and global advertising.
